maldon salt, fridge magnets, timex watches, and moka pots... simple tasteful gifting
zero thought all vibes; sharing taste one newsletter at a time [holiday edition]
This edition of zero thought all vibes will cover a range of products and gifts that I would like to receive for Christmas, so if any of you have a little discretionary income and want to hook a brother up… in all seriousness here are some tasteful gifts that I think anyone would be happy to receive. Share with your family so they know what they can get you OR use as a guide to purchase for others.
a unique (well-built) coffee cup - a high-quality coffee cup or set, take the old ones to the thrift store
noah x timex collab - get on this preorder list, this is such a cool collab, the watch gives high class patek or cartier, but at a reasonable price (comparably)
premade meal plan - the gym bro/shawty will thank you
rich people salt - trust me the cook in your family will thank you
functional ear protection - for the dad that wants to listen to the game while mowing the law
drawer organization - we all know you have at least 1 drawer that could use a little spring cleaning
lego boy dream build - for the 20+ lego boy that needs a childhood nostalgia session
economic caffeine staple - not everyone wants espresso every day, but almost everyone wants espresso at some point… a moka pot is perfect for those people
long sleeve shirts for runners - running and running brands are so in
the perfect travel shirt - 72 hours of moisture-wicking smell resisting fabric, prefect for a long commuter or traveler
the ocd painting hanger - nobody needs a laser level but everyone wants one, once you have one, its hard to think about everything you hung unlevel before then
bring 6 books on vacation - this year I will cave and buy a kindle
best heavy zip hoodie - yellow label has been a dream brand of mine, I thrifted a sweatshirt at a thrift shop on 22nd in Chelsea, but I’ve always wanted this jacket
electrolyte supplement but magnesium-focused - by the creators of everlane
scent investment - while scents come with a hefty price tag think about the memories and how often that scent can be used
forever duffle bag - for those who can responsibly bring a duffle as a carry on
my 2019 dream watch - the time marlin manual has been on my list since I sold one to a customer in 2019, the pearl face and black leather gain strap is timeless
minimalist timex - for the minimalist in the family
classy chess set - for the Queen’s Gambit nerd
basic staple overcoat - buy 1 good overcoat and you may never need another
shawty quilt jacket - every girl love a unique quilt jacket (at least I think so)
cool girl (or guy) blanket - blankets can be hard, they can be so cool, but oftentimes it’s hard to validate getting rid of them, give them a reason to get rid of their old blanket
chunky ring - chunky jewelry is back, or so I have heard - this one is adjustable
fridge magnets - mini classic vhs tape magnets are very tasteful
more magnets (maximalism is in, but let’s keep it smoll) - I can’t even lie, these scream Sabrina
a damn tea kettle - somebody you know will really appreciate this
timeless glassware - well built timeless glassware for any kitchen
headphones for outdoor runners - vibrations get soundwaves into your ears instead of directly though headphones… every runner that listens to music wants these
Disclosure
While this newsletter is about consumption like Black Friday and Cyber Monday, I do feel being mindful and intentional in what we consume is very important. I think we are all guilty of falling victim to this trap, I know in recent years I have found myself abstaining from spending on days like this. But I am coming to realize that, money is meant to be spent on what you enjoy the most, what brings you the most happiness, so if that is clothing, buy the good stuff, the high quality, forever warranty, tasteful clothing of your preference. If you like electronics, buy the best new gadget. If you like travel, figure out the plane tickets. But if you don’t love those things or you don’t know the person well enough that you are purchasing something for I recommend trying to make sure a purchase makes sense because in the end that purchase has value to you, and if that isn’t matched or exceeded by the person it is intended for, well that can stink. I don’t say this to make anyone overthink, but to remind you that just because you can buy something doesn’t always mean you need to, these gifts on this list though, I personally believe all have high utility, value, and long lifecycles.
See you next week!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING,
