last minute basically
zero thought, all vibes; sharing taste one newsletter at a time.
In this weeks newsletter, we cover… okay, not even going to lie, it is now 1:05 am, and I have to be up to work tomorrow, and I am still working on writing this, but I am going to basically call it here. This newsletter covers music, halloween, and marathon weekend, and considerations for a print zine for paid subscribers.
I am writing this newsletter a little buzzed from the 2 train at 11:45 on my way home from a concert at Le Poisson Rouge (LPR), where we saw Slowjoy, Worry Club, and INOHA with our friends Kendall and Mouhammed, honestly, one of the top 3 concerts I have ever been to. LPR is such a fun venue, the stage is only slightly elevated, so the band feels like they are playing just for you, and all 3 of these bands really rocked, like the way they performed, the way they connected with the crowd, the hype of the music, everything was just really damn good vibes.
After the concert, I suggested we hit Two Boots, a pizza joint I used to frequent when I worked at Huckberry on Bleeker and Perry, so we grabbed a few slices, sobered up, walked up to 14th Street, and went our separate ways for the evening.
This week, honestly, we have been mostly chillin’ in, still a little under the weather, but rebounding and resting. Last Friday, I began revising so
me writing that I have worked on over the past few years, and I am excited to share it with you on Sunday morning. It’s a little more intimate than my typical pieces, but still on brand for what most of my writing aligns with. And I guess here is a video of Bisou being weird.

Halloween in Greenpoint + Marathon Weekend
Saturday, we headed out for Halloween as Ron Stoppable and Kim Possible, Bisou was Rufus. We went to a friend’s rooftop in Greenpoint and had a nice time being out of the house. We got to see a science experiment, and then ended up heading home a little early because on Sunday, we got up and watched Malia run the New York Marathon.
Zero Thoughts Zine
I’ve been thinking a lot about this newsletter and how I really enjoy the catharsis of reviewing each week and writing about it. I worry that maybe that’s not what people really care about, and yes, I do still touch on taste mixed in with the vibes, but I question if anyone else really likes these
I am thinking about continuing these in their standard fashion, but also putting together a really curated hard copy print zine that gets sent out to those subscribers who have paid subscriptions, which at this point is not very many people, but I do think I will enjoy the process of creating print material and I am happy you send some out those who are interested.
I have done a lot of casual designing in the past, and I think for me personally, it would be a project I could pour a lot of my interests into and share those things with friends, family, and, honestly, just anyone interested in learning more about some of the things I happen to be passionate about.
I have some ideas for what I think would make a good hard copy zine, but I am also interested in what you may like to see from me, and in general, what would you like to learn more about that once a quarter or possibly more often comes and shows up in your mailbox from a friend.
Also, everyone wish Sabrina a happy birthday, please :)
Oh, and one last thing, Zohran Mamdani is the next mayor of New York!

That is a fine dog carrying ensemble. Wherever did you get it?
Apologies, but I must know. +1
Happy birthday Sabrina ♥️🥰
